FY2023 Energy and Water Appropriations - Advocated to increase funding for fuel cells and hydrogen in the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE) at the Department of Energy (DOE). FY2023 Defense Appropriations for clean hydrogen and fuel cell funding. BUD-related legislative efforts including, but not limited to: - H.R.8255 & S.4660 - Energy and Water Development and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2023, all provisions related to increased funding for fuel cells and hydrogen at DOE's EERE Office. - H.R.8236 & S.4663 - Department of Defense Appropriations Act, 2023, all provisions related to funding for clean hydrogen and fuel cell technologies. - H.R.2617 - Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2023, all provisions related to funding for clean hydrogen and fuel cell technologies.

Looked for legislative opportunities to promote hydrogen and fuel cell technologies, especially as it relates to fuel cells for material handling systems, fuel cell stationary power, hydrogen infrastructure, production, and storage. This includes advocacy for clean energy and hydrogen. Assisted in engagement related to Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee examination of federal hydrogen pipeline regulatory authorities. Also engaged with DODs Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) on possible opportunities for hydrogen fuel cell procurement to achieve government-wide climate strategy goals. ENG-related legislative efforts including, but not limited to: - H.R.3684 - Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, all provisions related to hydrogen and fuel cell technologies. - H.R.1512 - Climate Leadership and Environmental Action for our Nation's (CLEAN) Future Act, all provisions related to hydrogen and fuel cell technologies. - H.R.1848 - Leading Infrastructure for Tomorrow's (LIFT) America Act, all provisions related to hydrogen and fuel cell technologies. - S.2377 - Energy Infrastructure Act, all provisions related to hydrogen and fuel cell technologies. - S.2200 - Advancing the Clean Hydrogen Future Act of 2021, all provisions related to hydrogen and fuel cell technologies. - H.R.5376 - Inflation Reduction Act, all provisions related to hydrogen and fuel cell-related technologies. - Forthcoming FAA reauthorization legislation, potential provisions related to hydrogen and cell-related technologies related to aviation.
