- What it does
- To develop and field test new food products designed to improve the nutritional delivery of humanitarian food assistance provided through the McGovern Dole (section 3107 of the Farm Security and Rural Investment Act of 2002 (7 U.S.C. 1736o-1)) and the Food for Peace title II (7 U.S.C. 1691 et seq.) programs.

- 081 Applicant Eligibility: To receive funding under this section, an entity shall be – 1) State agricultural experiment stations; (2) colleges and universities; (3) university research foundations; (4) other research institutions and organizations; (5) Federal agencies, (6) national laboratories; (7) private organizations or corporations; (8) individuals who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents; and (9) any group consisting of 2 or more entities identified in (1) through (8) (as defined in section 1472(c) of NARETPA). Eligible institutions do not include foreign and international organizations.
