Application Purpose: the City of Wausau Requests $1432896 of Fy 2022 Section 5307 Operating Assistance for the Wausau Are Transit System D.b.a. Metro Ride for Calendar Year 2022. Funding Will Cover Operating Expenses Incurred From January 1 2022 Through December 31 2022. the Project Was Included in the Table 1 Project a of the 2022-2025 Transportation Improvement Plan (TIP) for the Wausau Metropolitan Area. the Local Share of This 5307 Operating Assistance Project Totals $1432896 (50%) of Which $615099 Is Funded by City of Wausau Property Tax Revenues and $817797 Is Funded Through Transit-aid Grants From the State of Wisconsin.; Activities Performed: Operating Assistance Will Fund Public Transit Services Including Fixed-route Bus and Complimentary Ada Paratransit Within the Municipal Boundaries of the City of Wausau.; Expected Outcomes: Metro Ride Will Continue to Be Able to Provide Access to Affordable Transit Service in 2022 Throughout the City of Wausau Wisconsin.; Intended Beneficiaries: Citizens in the Wausau Area Will Benefit From the Availability of Accessible and Affordable Transportation Options in Calendar Year 2022.
