Application Purpose: the Purpose of This Award Is to Fund Construction Expenses of a New Transit Center. the Transit Center Is Centrally Located Near Residences Commerce Social Services and the Clear Creek Trail and Transit Service Will Provide Connections to Bainbridge Island and Bremerton Ferry Terminals.; Activities Performed: Funds Will Be Used to Cover Eligible Construction Expenses for the New Transit Center. Once Developed the Transit Center Will Consist of Approximately Eight Bus Bays Shelters Vehicle Parking Low Impact Development Storm Water Management Facilities Ada Accessible Site Improvements Sidewalks Bike Lanes Bike Storage and a Bus Driver Comfort Station.; Expected Outcomes: Funding Will Permit Kitsap Transit to Construct the New Transit Center Located South of Ridgetop Boulevard NW and NW Waaga Way (state Route 303) in Silverdale Wa. the Objective Is to Increase Commuter Access to Transit That Improves Environmental Quality by Reducing Sov Miles and Trips and Reduces Congestion on the Corridor That Would Otherwise Add Congestion and Harmful Emissions Without the Funding.; Intended Beneficiaries: Kitsap Transit and the Riders That Rely on Its Service Will Benefit From Increased Commuter Access to Multimodal Connections to Transit and Ferry Service Which Supports the Regional Transportation System. Riders Can Reduce Household Driving and Lower Regional Congestion Reduce Air Pollution and Greenhouse Gas Emissions.; Subrecipient Activities: N/a
