Application Purpose: the Purpose of This Award Is to Fund Approximately Ten (10) New Battery-electric Buses and Supporting Infrastructure for Transit Service That Will Replace Ten (10) Older Conventional Diesel Buses.; Activities Performed: Activities to Be Performed Are to Procure Approximately Ten (10) Battery-electric Replacement Buses and Supporting Infrastructure Which Will Replace the Same Number of Older Conventional Diesel Buses.; Expected Outcomes: Expected Outcomes Are to Maintain Bus Service in the Region and by Converting These Buses to Battery-electric Buses (BEBS) by 2024 Approximately 126 Gallons of Diesel Fuel Per Day Would No Longer Be Consumed. This Equates to Approximately 3038 Gallons Per Month and 36456 Gallons Per Year. Based on 182280 Vehicle Miles Traveled Per Year and Useful Life of 12 Years for Ten (10) Buses the Potential New Beb Emission Reductions Are as Follows: CO2 Reduction: 4717361 Pounds Nox Reduction: 64418 Pounds Co Reduction: 24427 Pounds Voc Reduction: 3718 Pounds PM2.5 Reduction: 2767 Pounds Fuel Saved Over 12 Years: 437472 Gallons @ $2.50 Per Gallon = $1093680 Savings; Intended Beneficiaries: Intended Beneficiaries Are the Residents of Kitsap County Who Ride and Live Near Bus Operations and Will Benefit by Reduced Greenhouse Gas Emissions and Taxpayer Dollar Savings.; Subrecipient Activities: There Are No Subrecipients to This Award.
