Application Purpose: This Fy 2022 5339 Grant Is Anticipated to Fund Capital Projects to Procure and Install Surveillance Camera Systems on Transit Vehicles and at Transit Facilities to Enhance Safety and Security for Passengers and Staff. This Grant Is Also Anticipated to Fund Shop and Garage Equipment Activities.; Activities Performed: Funding Is Anticipated to Be Expended on Purchasing and Installing Bus Camera Systems Facility CCTV Equipment and Associated Technology Including Video Management Software and Storage Infrastructure. Funding Will Also Be Expended on Acquiring Shop and Garage Equipment Necessary to Support Vehicle Upkeep and Transit Operations.; Expected Outcomes: Funding Will Enable the Transit Agency to Improve Incident Response Deter Criminal Activity and Support Safer Transit Operations Through Upgraded Surveillance Capabilities on Vehicles and Facilities. Funding Will Also Permit GCTD to Maintain a State of Good Repair by Ensuring That Shop and Garage Equipment Remains Functional and Up to Date.; Intended Beneficiaries: the Transit Agency Its Staff and the Riding Public Will Benefit From Enhanced Safety Improved Monitoring and Continuity of Secure and Reliable Transportation Services.; Subrecipient Activities: N/a
