Application Purpose: Funding for the Operations of BTD Small Urban 5307 Transit Provider.; Activities Performed: the Grant Will Be Used for Ada Paratransit Preventative Maintenance and Operation in Bryan/college Station Transfer Point Renovations Security Cameras for Urban Vehicles and Bus Shelters/bus Stop Signage for the Fixed Routes in B/CS.; Expected Outcomes: Fixed Route and Ada Service Will Be Provided in Bryan College Station the Transfer Point Will Be Renovated and Shelters/bus Stop Signs Will Be Placed So BTD Can Transition to a Fixed Stop System.btd Continues to Make It Easier for the Population in Bryan-college Station and Service Areas to Commute to Various Destinations Such as Jobs Schools Healthcare Facilities Shopping Centers and Recreational Areas. This Continued Service Enhances Movement for All Residents Regardless of Their Socio-economic Status or Ability to Afford Private Transportation. BTD Public Transit System Helps to Alleviate Traffic Congestion. the Grant Helps BTD to Provide for Residents Who Do Not Have Their Own Transportation or Who Do Not Own a Vehicle Including Those Who Are Unable to Drive Due to Age Disability or Financial Constraints. It Improves the Overall Quality of Life and Social Inclusion.; Intended Beneficiaries: the Beneficiaries Will Be BTD Operations and the Entire Urban Area Which Consists of Commuters Employees Students Etc. the Grant Will Help BTD Play a Crucial Role in Improving the Agency Administration by Providing Financial Resources Supporting Infrastructure Upgrades and Technology Implementation Investing in Staff Development Enhancing Security Promoting Sustainability and Enabling the Provision of a Good Service. the Operational Efficiency of BTD Will Be Improved. Such as Enhancing Routes Implementing Transit Priorities and Deploying Smart Transportation Systems.
