This Project Was Selected Under the Fiscal Year 2016 Grants for Buses and Bus Facilities Competitive Program (federal Register / Vol. 81 No. 197 / Wednesday October 12 2016 PGS. 70482 - 70486). the Project Builds Upon the Regional Mobility Partnership Established Between Capital Metropolitan Transportation Authority (capital Metro) and Capital Area Rural Transportation Service (CARTS) to Remove Barriers to Transit and to Support the Creation of Ladders of Opportunity in the Austin Urbanized Area and the Central Texas Region One of the Fastest Growing Areas of the Country. Grant Funding Will Provide the Capital Funding Needed to Support Regional Planning Efforts and to Close Service Gaps in the Urbanized Area to Replace Buses on Routes That Capital Metro and Carts Currently Serve and to Replace Buses in the Rural Area. a Combined Total of 45 Buses Will Be Acquired With the Funding. Capital Metro Will Acquire 16 Buses and Carts Will Acquire 29 Buses.the Original Proposal Including the Fta Supplemental Form Submitted by Capital Metro Through Grants.gov in Response to the Notice of Funding Availability Has Been Uploaded to the Application Documents Section of This Application. as Indicated on Page 6 of the Supplemental Form Transportation Development Credits (TDCS) Will Be Used as Local Match for This Project.
