This Grant Application Is for the Remainder of Gtas Allocation of the FY18 5339(B) Apportionment for a New Transit Facility in the Greenville Large Urban Area Totaling $11000000. the Application Will Utilize $8600000 of the Funds Allocated to the Greenville Transit Authority (gta). the Other $2400000 Has Already Been Applied for in Grant 2020-035. the Overall Start Date of This Application Is the Grant Award Date. the Overall End Date Will Be March 26 2026. the Greenville Transit Authority (GTA) the Grantee Will Not Apply an Indirect Cost Rate to Activities. Gta Is a 5339 Direct Recipient for the Greenville South Carolina Uza. This Is Not a Research and Development Grant.sustainabilitygta Passed a Resolution in February 2021 to Pursue Electric or CNG Buses. This Resolution Can Be Found Among the Application Documents. a Brief History of Gtas Sustainability Work to Date Is Outlined Below:in 2017 Gta Received Its First Low-no Grant for $1.35M We Combined That With Funding in the Mauldin-simpsonville Uza and Purchased Our First 4 40 Proterra E2 Catalyst Buses.in 2019 Gta Was Awarded $2.04M in Funding to Buy 4 Diesel or CNG (pending a Station Installed at the Maintenance Facility) Buses. in 2020 Gta Was Awarded $5.27M in Low-no Grant Funding to Purchase an Additional 6 Buses These Will Come Online the Same Time as the New Maintenance Facility. These 10 BUSES2019 and 2020 Fundingwould Allow Us to Increase the Frequency on Routes From 60 Minutes to 30 Minutes.as Outlined in the Resolution the Goal Is to No Longer Buy Diesel Buses After the New Maintenance Facility Comes Online.public Engagement Greenlink Has Created a Stakeholder Team That Will Meet Throughout the Life of the Project as Well as a Public Engagement Plan Consisting of at Least 5 Public Meetings. Additionally Greenlink Is Open to and Has Met With Several Interested Parties Outside of the Stakeholder Group and Public Engagement Meetings Including the Washington High School Alumni Group and Various Government Representatives Such as Xanthene Norris the County Councilmember Whose District This Project Is in.
