This Is a Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) Request for $3421146 in 5310 and 5311 Formula Funds for a Program of Projects That Includes Vehicle Purchases Operating Assistance and Technical Assistance. Funds Are Allocated Across the Following Three Projects in the Amounts Detailed Below. Ripta Has Certified That the State of Rhode Islands Intercity Bus Service Needs Are Being Adequately Met and Therefore Will Not Spend 15% of Its Section 5311 Funds for Intercity Bus Projects.purpose: the Purpose of This Award Is to Fund Riptas Purchase of Replacement Paratransit Vehicles Operating Assistance for Non-urban Routes and Technical Assistanceactivities to Be Performed:- Purchase of Seven (7) Accessible Paratransit Vehicles (P1: $1067059 Total; P2: $56257 Total)- Non-urban Operating Assistance (P3: $2566488 Total / $1283244 Federal / $1283244 Local; P4: $1160000 Total / $786731 Fed / $786731 Local)- Rural Transit Assistance Program (P3: $149786 Total P4: $78069 Total)expected Outcomes: Funds Included in This Award Will Allow Ripta to Purchase Replacement Vans to Continue Reliable and Timely Service for Our Paratransit Passengers as Well as Passengers Who Reside in Rural Areas of Rhode Island. the Rtap Funds From This Award Allow Ripta to Provide Technical Assistance for Rural Service.intended Beneficiaries: the Intended Beneficiaries of This Award Are Riptas Senior and Disabled Passengers as Well as Those Passengers Who Reside in Non-urban Areas of Rhode Island. This Grant Therefore Requests 100% Federal Share for All 5310 Funded Projects. Match for All Projects Will Come From Ripta Operating Funds Primarily Through Gas Tax Receipts of Which the Authority Receives Approximately $40 Million Annually. $1210000 of Gas Tax Will Be Set Aside to Support These Expenditures.
