The Technology in Early Childhood Center at Erikson Institute Is Partnering With the Carroll County Public Library System, Chandler Public Library, Homer Public Library, and Scarborough Public Library to Support the Media Literacy Knowledge and Confidence of Librarians So They Can Effectively Develop the Media Literacy Skills of Young Children and Families. the Diverse Interdisciplinary Team Will Work Collaboratively to Ensure That the Project Succeeds in Building Media Literacy Knowledge and Confidence of Librarians Through Continuing Education via Professional Development Opportunities and Resources. Project Outcomes Will Include Increasing Librarians' Knowledge of and Confidence in Supporting Children's and Families' Media Literacy Skills and Developing a Scalable Model of Librarian Professional Development Focused on Media Literacy in Early Childhood.
