The Principal Purpose of This Agreement Is to Provide Support for a Project That Achieves the Public Purpose to Generate Renewable Energy to Increase Water Efficiency and Assist in Implementation of Clean Energy Goals. Under This Agreement, Weber Basin Water Conservancy District, Located in Layton, Weber County, Utah, Will Complete a Feasibility Study to Determine If Constructing Solar Panels Over 1,400-FEET of the Layton Canal, Located in West Haven, Utah Is Economically Viable. If the Cost-benefit Analysis Proves Positive Economic Results Regarding Water Quality, Reduced Evaporation, and Energy Production the Recipient Will Move Forward With Design, Permitting, and Construction of the Project. Upon Completion, the Recipient Will Collect Water Quality and Energy Production Data Over a 5-YEAR Period to Determine If It Makes Sense to Cover Additional Sections of the Layton Canal With Solar Panels.
