Purpose:the U.s. Department of the Interiors (DOI) Watersmart (sustain and Manage Americas Resources for Tomorrow) Program Provides a Framework for Federal Leadership and Assistance to Stretch and Secure Water Supplies for Future Generations in Support of the Departments Priorities. Through Watersmart, the Bureau of Reclamation (reclamation) Leverages Federal and Non-federal Funding to Work Cooperatively With States, Tribes, and Local Entities as They Plan for and Implement Actions to Increase Water Supply Reliability Through Investments in Existing Infrastructure and Attention to Local Water Conflicts. With the Passage of the Inflation Reduction Act (ira), Reclamation Is Able to Offer an Opportunity That Provides Up to 100 Percent of the Cost for the Planning or Design of Domestic Water Supply Projects That Benefit Communities or Households That Do Not Have Reliable Access to Domestic Water Supplies.activities to Be Performed: Under This Agreement, the Recipient Shall Construct and Install a 410,000 Gallon Water Supply Tank and an Accompanying Distribution Piping System to Meet Community Needs in Times of Drought and Water Shortages. the Complete Cost of the New Water Tank Is Being Covered by a Grant From the Indian Health Service. a Portion of the Costs for the Distribution System and Hydrants Is Being Covered by a Grant From the Economic Development Administration. a Small Portion of the Project Is Being Covered by a Grant From the Environmental Protection Agency, Primarily for the Horizontal Drilling and the Geotechnical Review. This Usbr Grant Will Cover the Remaining Portion of the Distribution System and Hydrants. Full Details Can Be Found in the Project Budget.deliverables and Expected Outcomes:the Water Storage Tank and Domestic Water Supply Project Will Be Constructed on the Walker River Paiute Reservation, Which Is Situated Within Three Counties in Middle Eastern Nevada (mineral, Lyon and Churchill). the New Tank Will Be Constructed Adjacent and Connected to an Existing 285,000 Gallon Tank Which Currently Services the Community. the Distribution System Will Consist of a Water Main and 100 Connections, Broken Up Across Four Pathways: North Loop, South Loop, West Loop, and Sierra Road. the Major Components of the Project Include But Are Not Limited to: Install a Portion of the 26,200 Feet of 8-INCH Diameter Pipe for the Four Distribution Lines and Associated Line Valves Install 23 Fire Hydrants Beneficiaries: the Publicsubrecipient Activities (if Known or Specified at Time of Award): N a
