The Westlands Water District (district), Located in the San Joaquin Valley California, Will Expand Its Westlands Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) Project by Installing and Upgrading 1,603 Meters Along Its Distribution System. the Project Will Install 150 Victaulic Meters and Convert 1,453 Existing Mechanical Meters Into Digital Meters With Ami Capabilities. the 1,603 Meters Will Be Integrated Into the Districts Ami System, Allowing for Near Real-time Data Availability. the Project Is Expected to Result in Annual Water Savings of 4,345 Acre-feet, Currently Lost to Unidentified Leaks and Over Deliveries. Conserved Water Will Be Used to Offset Groundwater Pumping in a Critically Over-drafted Groundwater Basin, Boosting Water Supply Reliability in a Drought Prone Area.
