The North Tahoe Public Utility District (district), Located on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe in Placer County, California, Will Install 2,815 Modern Advance Metering Infrastructure Meters With Cellular Endpoints to Replace Aging and Inefficient Automated Meter Reading Water Meters. the New Meters Will Give the District Access to Real-time Data to Improve Operational Efficiencies and Sustainability by Effectively Monitoring Water Usage and Detecting Malfunctions. the Project Is Expected to Result in Annual Water Savings of 140 Acre-feet That Will Remain in Lake Tahoe.
