Award Purpose: the Purpose of This Project Is to Design a New Recreation Site Along the Boise Greenbelt Along the Boise River to Address Public Health and Safety Concerns and to Meet Federal Accessibility Standards.activities to Be Performed: This Project Will Complete the Design Aspect for a New Park That Will Be Managed by Ada County on Bureau of Reclamation Property. the Site Will Also Appeal to a Wide Variety of Recreationists (pedestrians, Cyclists, Birdwatchers, Anglers, Etc.) Who Will Be Able to Formally Park and Access the Greenbelt and the Boise River From Highway 21. the Completed Park Will Function as a Shaded Rest Area for Greenbelt Users and an Educational Site for Those Seeking More Information Regarding Diversion Dam and Other Nearby Points of Interest. Without Proper Park Planning and Design, the Area Will Be Developed in a Haphazard Manner by the Recreating Public and Will Likely Result in Resource Damage From User Created Trails and Improper Usage as Well as Additional Access Issues. With Proper Park Planning, We Can Address Both Recreation Needs and Resource Protection While Filling Clear Voids Within This Area of the Greenbelt: Designated Parking and Shaded Rest Areas With Recreational Amenities.expected Deliverables or Outcomes: This Project Will Create a Useable Design for a Future Construction Project at the Park Site. the Design Will Meet Accessibility Requirements, and Address Public Health and Safety Concerns in the Area.
