The South Coast Water District, Located in the Coastal Southern Orange County, California, Will Expand the Existing Turf Removal Rebate Program by Offering Rebates for Removing High-water Use Turfgrass, Landscaping and Irrigation, and Replacing It With Water-conserving California Landscapes. the Program Will Focus on Both Single and Multi-family Residential and Commercial Properties Across the South Coast Water Districts Service Area. the Program Will Decrease Potable Water Use, Increase Irrigation Efficiency, Provide Groundwater Recharge, and Reduce Dry-weather and Stormwater Runoff and Its Associated Non-point Source Pollution. This Program Meets the Goals Listed in the South Coast Water Districts 2020 Urban Water Management Plan as a Key Water Conservation Program and Increases Water Supply Reliability.
