Award Purpose: U.s. Bureau of Reclamation and the Washington State Department of Ecology Have Identified the Need for the Preparation of a Feasibility Study, Alternative Selection, Design, and Permitting for the Kittitas Reclamation District (KRD) Upper Yakima System Multi-benefit Water Storage Facilities (the Project). This Project Leads From the Current Scoping Phase Through to Completion of the Feasibility Study.activities to Be Performed: KRD Will Conduct a Feasibility Study in Accordance With CMP 09-02 for the KRD Upper Yakima System Multi-benefit Water Storage Facilities. General Tasks in This Scope of Work Includes Feasibility-level for: Water Resources Modeling, Economic Benefits Analysis, Designs, Cost Estimates, Compliance, and Permitting.expected Deliverables or Outcomes: the Feasibility Study Report Will Reference the Associated Completed Cultural and Environmental Compliance for the Proposed Alternatives and the Outcome of the Study Will Be a Selected Preferred Alternative to Move Forward to Final Design. Intended Beneficiaries: the Uyss Will Benefit and Provide New Water Supply for Agricultural and Environmental Uses Such as the Endangered Species Act-listed Bulltrout and Steelhead. the Additional Storage Will Be Used for Instream Flows Within the Yakima River Basin as Total Water Supply Available in the Yakima Basin and Help Proratable Districts With Water to Purchase During a Drought Year. the Yakama Nation Would Receive Benefit From This Project as Their Water Supply Is Proratable and Would Potentially Help Them With Drought Year Water Supply Needs.
