1. Award Purpose - the Water Education Foundation Has Developed Several Programs and Publications That Educate Various Audiences on the Importance of Water Resources in California, Including the Sacramento-san Joaquin Delta. This Menu Lists Various Foundation Projects That Reveal Our Expertise in Planning and Producing Relevant and Easy-to-understand Information. They Include Key Laypersons Guides and Educational Maps That Deal Directly With Delta Issues and Management That Could Be Updated With More Recent Information In-depth Western Water Articles That Could Explore Emerging Delta-related Issues Workshops Aimed at Helping Teachers Working Throughout the Delta Watershed to Implement Lessons in Their Education Programs That Highlight the Importance of the Delta and Its Larger Watershed to the States Water Supply and Ecosystem Management and Tours in California That Highlight Reclamation Facilities, Including Friant Dam, Shasta Dam, San Luis Reservoir and Other Central Valley Project Facilities. Our Western Water Articles Are Now Online and Distributed Widely via Email and Social Media Networks While Our Popular Laypersons Guides on Key Water Issues Are Handed Out at Conferences, Workshops and Distributed to Our Network in California in an Effort to Raise Awareness of Delta Issues. 2. Activities to Be Performed - Under This Agreement, the Foundation Will Provide Public Outreach Through Several Programs and Publications That Educate Various Audiences on the Importance of Water Resources in California, Including the Sacramento-san Joaquin Delta and Its Larger Watershed. These Public Outreach Efforts Will Produce Educational Materials Including, But Not Limited to, Tours, Laypersons Guidebooks, Maps and Online Resources TOOLS.3. Expected Deliverable or Outcome - Task 1: Klamath River Basin Tourtask 2: Klamath Map Updatetask 3: Water Education Foundation Website Updatetask 4: Aquapedia Overhaultask 5: California Water Update of Layperson S Guide Spanish VERSION4. Intended Beneficiary(ies) - the Recipient Has Proposed to Reclamation to Provide Public Outreach Programs, Such as Water Tours, Workshops, Conferences, Laypersons Guides on Water Issues, and Western Water Articles That Present Information Regarding: 1) Implementation of Planning Efforts Aimed at Ensuring Sustainability, Such as Floodplain Restoration, and Policy Scientific Discussions on Delta Conveyance 2) Climate Change Impacts Specific to the Delta, Including Sea-level Rise 3) Water Quality Impacts to the Delta, Including State Plans to Mitigate Those Impacts by Increasing Flows in the Rivers in the Delta Watershed and How Those Plans Would Impact the Farmers and the Water Districts to the Public at Large 4) Importance of the Delta Watershed in Californias Water Portfolio as Well as the Importance of Water Conservation Efforts to Relieve Pressure on the Delta, Thereby Promoting Sustainability and Resiliency of the Delta and Its Environment and, 5) Scientific Discoveries and Analysis on the Delta Watershed to Build Public Knowledge. These Programs Are Targeted to the General Public, as Well as Local, State and Federal Officials, to Educate and Provide Meaningful Communication About Activities That Affect the California Bay-delta Watershed. These Public Outreach Programs Are Related to Water Supply Reliability, Water Quality and Ecological Restoration Efforts in the Delta.these Outreach Efforts Are Integral by Helping the Public Understand the Process of How Resources Are Being Protected and Tax Dollars Are Being Spent. the Public Outreach Efforts Outlined Below Will Provide an Opportunity for the Water Education Foundation to Provide Participants With High Quality Tours, Workshops, Conferences, Laypersons Guides on Water Topics, Western Water Articles and Other Resources. 5.
