Based Upon Measurements, 9 Is Lost in This 2,400-FOOT Section of Canal. the Average Diversion of the Marysville Canal Lateral Over the Last Two Years Has Been 24,311-ACRE Feet. at 9 Loss, Losing 2,188-ACRE Feet Per Year.activities to Be Performed: NFCS to Install a Geomembrane Canal Liner on 2,400 FT of the Marysville Canal Lateral. the Project Will Include Minimal Earth Work. Only Sections With Sediment Deposits Will Need to Be Cleaned and Shaped by Heavy Equipment to Prepare for the Liner. the Liner Will Be Installed Above Ground According to Specifications.expected Deliverables or Outcomes: This Project Will Help Conserve Water in the Current Year and Allow Additional Water Being Carried Into Subsequent Dry Years. If This Project Had Been Installed in Previous Years, More Water Available This Year.intended Beneficiaries: This Project Will Increase the Water Reliability for an Irrigated Agriculture Economy That Averages Over 145 Million in Crop Sales Per Year in Fremont County, Idaho. in Addition to Providing the Water for Our Local Agriculture Economy, the Henry S Fork Is a World-famous Fly-fishing Destination. This Project Will Result in Reduced Outflow From the Reservoirs During the Irrigation Season, Allowing for Increased Flows in the Winter Which Will More Closely Mimic Nature. This Increased Winter Flow Is Critical for Trout Habitat.reducing Outflow From the Reservoirs During the Irrigation Season Will Benefit Water Quality in the Rivers. Water Quality in the Rivers Will Be Improved During the Summer When Most of the Fishing Occurs.
