The Joint Ieua-jcsd Recycled Water Intertie Project (the Project) Will Provide 3,160 Acre-feet Per Year (AFY) of New Recycled Water From the Western Riverside County Regional Wastewaterauthority (WRCRWA) Wastewater Treatment Plant (WTP) Located in the City of Eastvale, County of Riverside, Southern California to Offset Current Potable Water Demands. This New Recycled Water Source Will Offset the Current Use of Potable Water for Irrigation on Parks, Schools,streetscapes, and Medians in the City of Eastvale and the City of Jurupa Valley. the Project Willconvert the Existing Potable Water System to Recycled Water Use and Install the Infrastructure Needed to Facilitate the Conveyance of 2,500 Afy of Recycled Water North Into the Inland Empireutilities Agencys (IEUA) Service Area. Ieua Will Utilize This Recycled Water Supply in Their Existing System to Increase the Recycled Water Currently Being Utilized to Replenish the Chino Groundwater Basin, Offsetting Potable State Water Project (SWP) Water Used for Groundwater Recharge. the Project, Intertying Adjacent Recycled Water Systems in the Santa Ana River Watershed in the Counties of Riverside and San Bernardino, Will Increase the Local Water Supply That Will Offset SWP Potable Water Use, Increase Water Supply Resiliency During Drought Emergencies, Increase Groundwater Recharge Reliability, Reduce Ground Water Pumping, and Provide Water Transfers Exchanges and Operational Efficiencies.
