Award Purpose: Through Work on the Yakima Basin Integrated Plan (YBIP) Yakima County Became Aware of This Project and Decided to Be the Project Management Agency Since It Required Construction of Public Infrastructure. the County Has Been Planning and Designing This Project for Several Years With Input From Ybip Partners Including the Yakama Nation, WDFW, Usfws, Forest Service and Reclamation. the Project Has Two Components, Completion of the 1985 Agreement to Transfer the Road to Yakima County, and Construction of a New Bridge Near the Old Channel Alignment, to Allow Fish Passage Into and Out of Tieton Reservoir Over a Much Longer Time Frame During the Year.activities to Be Performed: the Following Project Elements Will Be Incorporated to Achieve the Overall Project Goals: Contract Services to Construct a New Bridge.restore a Segment of the S.F. Tieton River Channel to Its Original Location. These Actions Will Enhance and Restore Safe Passage for Bull Trout, Several Native Resident Fish Species and Future Reintroduced Salmon and Steelhead.expected Deliverables or Outcomes: the Completion of the Bridge at This Location Will Have Multiple Benefits Allowing a Longer Duration Passage Window to Threatened Bull Trout, Increasing Overall Productivity of the Reservoir, Preparing the Reservoir for Anadromous Fish Reintroduction, and Improving the Flexibility of Managing the Reservoir Level of Tieton Reservoir, and by Extension, All of the United States Bureau of Reclamation Reservoirs in the Yakima River Basin.intended Beneficiaries: the Yakima Basin Integrated Plan (YBIP) Partners Including the Yakama Nation, WDFW, Usfws, Forest Service, Reclamation, and the Public.
