Project Abstract Templateaward Purpose: to Improve Instream Flows, Protection of the Native and Esa Fish Species, and Increase Basin Water Storage. This Work Will Identify a Preferred Alternative to Replace or Upgrade the Districts Canal System While Looking for Broader Ybip Water Supply and Ecological Benefits.activities to Be Performed: This Grant Will Provide Funding to the Yakima Tieton Irrigation District (YTID) to Conduct an Appraisal Study That Will Identify a Preferred Alternative to Replace or Upgrade the Districts 113-YEAR-OLD Main Canal. Alternatives Include Actions That May Provide Additional Surface Water Storage, Water Delivery Operational Flexibility and Improved Instream Flows for the Tieton River Which Will Benefit Native Fish Species Including Esa Listed Bull Trout and Steelhead. Under This Agreement, the Recipient Shall Complete the Following Tasks as Part of Conducting an Appraisal Level Study: Perform Project Administration and Management and Submitting a Project Closeout Report. Perform Project Planning Including Survey and Mapping and an Evaluation of Defined Alternatives Produce Appraisal Level Designs and Cost Estimates. Conduct Decision Support Modeling the Will Include Stakeholder Meetings to Establish Evaluation Criteria and Alternatives Scoring or Evaluation. Conduct a Renewable Energy Investigation. Produce an Appraisal Report.
