Award Purpose: the Purpose of This Agreement Is to Line and or Pipe the South Branch Canal and Provide the Saved Water to Flow Impaired Tributaries in the Upper Yakima River Basin.activities to Be Performed: Under This Agreement, the Recipient Will Eliminate Water Loss in 79,407 Feet of KRDS South Branch Canal. the Water Will Then Be Delivered for Instream Flow. the Estimated Instream Flow Will Be 5,245 Acre-feet (14.7 CFS) Annually.this Will Be Accomplished by Lining and Piping the South Branch Canal and Allowing the Retained Water to Be Returned to for Instream Flow. the Construction of the Lining and Project Will Include Clearing, Grubbing and Rough Grading of Access Roads. the Canal Will Be Regraded and Lined With a Geomembrane Liner With Concrete Cover for the Lining Projects and Install Piping and Backfill for the Piping Projects. New Turnouts Will Be Installed for Delivered Water. Fencing Will Be Installed to Protect People, Animals, and the Worksites. Landowner Fencing That Was Damages During the Project Will Be Replaced. Scada Stations Will Be Installed Where Needed to Deliver Water and Verify the Water Savings. Expected Deliverables or Outcomes: the Anticipated Outcome of This Agreement Will Be to Eliminate Seepage Loss in the South Branch Canal and Provide an Estimated 5,245 Acre-feet in Saved Water for in Stream Flow. Intended Beneficiaries: the Intended Beneficiary Will Be the Public as They Will Continue to Be Able to Enjoy and Utilize These Species Into the Future.
