Purpose: the Pure Water Monterey Project and Expanded Pure Water Monterey Project (PWM) Will Replenish the Adjudicated Seaside Groundwater Basin With 3,500 Acre Feet Per Year (AFY) of Purified Recycled Water to Better Balance the Safe Yield of the Groundwater Basin and Mitigate the Threat of Seawater Intrusion. the Pure Water Monterey Project Will Also Provide Additional Treated Water to an Existing Water Recycling Facility at the Regional Wastewater and Water Recycling Plant (referred Herein as the Regional Plant) for Recycled Water Delivery to the Castroville Seawater Intrusion Project S (CSIP) Agricultural Irrigation System, Further Preventing Seawater Intrusion in the Region. It Is Anticipated Up to 4,500 Afy of Additional Recycled Water Supply Could Be Created for Agricultural Irrigation or a Total of 5,750 Afy With Implementation of the Expanded PWM Project,. the Project Also Provides for an Additional 200 Afy of Purified Recycled Water That Would Be Injected in the Seaside Basin for Up to Five Consecutive Years to Create a Drought Reserve Bank, and 600 Afy of Recycled Water for Urban Landscape Irrigation by Marina Coast Water District Customers. in Drought Conditions, Source Water Would Be Diverted for Agricultural Irrigation and the Reserve Delivered to Potable Customers.activities to Be Performed:objective 1: Contract for Environmental Documentation and Permitting Servicesobjective 2: Contract for Construction Support and Program Management Objective 3: Contract for Infrastructure Constructiondeliverable(s) Expected Outcome(s):objective 1 Outcomes: Environmental Compliance and Permitting Requirements.
