Award Purpose:the Purpose of the Project Is to Construct a New Bridge to Allow for the Crossing of Heavy Equipment and Construction Access for the Sjrrp Project, Access to Sjrrp Structures and Building, Poso Canal Company, HMRD and Ccid. Working With Poso Canal Company and Ccid to Provide Them Funds for a New Multipurpose Benefit Bridge Would Avoid the Bureau From the Cost of a Single Purpose Bridge for the Sjrrp. Working With Our Partners on a Multipurpose Bridge Reduces the Overall Cost to the Sjrrp Public, Increases Safety, Reduces Cultural and Environmental Impacts, Allows for Access and Maintenance of Multiple Public Entities, Facilities, and Supports the Implementation of the Settlement. Activities to Be Performed:recipient Shall Install a New Bridge Deck to Allow for Access Over the Poso Canal at Valeria Ave. That Will Accomplish the Following Objectives for All Parties: Objective 1: Improve Site Access to Allow for Construction Equipment and Heavy-duty Vehicles to Pass. the New Bridge Deck Should Be Rated by an Engineer to a Minimum Rating of HS 20 Loading. Objective 2:PROVIDE Safe Vehicular Access Across the Poso Canal for Maintenance, Investigations, Environmental, Cultural, and Construction Activities, by All Parties. Objective 3:MINIMIZE the Number of Hard 90 Degree Turns by Providing Access From Valeria Ave Instead of Adjacent to the Arroyo Canal Intake. the Valeria Ave Location Allows for Vehicles to Cross With Wider Turn Radii and Dual Axel. Projected Deliverables or Outcomes: the Existing Bridge Has Reached the End of Its Safe Operating Life and Is No Longer Capable of Supporting Heavy Equipment. the Bridge Is Currently Restricted to Pedestrian Access and Light Duty Vehicles When Necessary. by Relocating and Replacing the Existing Bridge, Completion of This Project Immediately Results in Improved Safety for All Parties BY:1.THE New Bridge Will Allow Access for Heavy Duty Vehicles. 2.CREATES Wider Turning Radii and Few Overall Turns to Access the Facilities. 3.REDUCTION in Staff Time and Fuel by Preventing the Need for Alternative Heavy Equipment Routes Increasing Travel Time Upwards of 30 Minutes. 4.IRRIGATION Staff and Reclamation Personnel Will Be Able to Access the Site Without the Need to Leave Vehicles Outside of the Gates on Valeria Ave. Equipment Maintenance and Operations Can Be Conducted More Easily With Vehicle Access Up to the Proposed O M Building. 5.MULTIPLE Millions of Dollars in Saving by Working With Our Partners on a Multiple Purpose Bridge Verse a Single Purpose BRIDGE.6.RECIPIENT Agrees to Maintain and Repair the Bridge to Keep It in Good Condition for Intended Uses Described in the FAA.7.THE Recipient Agrees to Grant Bor a Permanent Easement to Utilize the Bridge.beneficiaries:the Public.
