Sportsman S Park Oand M Project Abstractaward Purpose Sportsman S Park Is Located Three Miles East of Aberdeen, Idaho in Bingham County the Park Is a Multi Use Area With Facilities and Activities for a Variety of Recreational Uses Which Include Two Large Group Shelters and Eight Smaller Picnic Shelters, Two Playgrounds, Three Restrooms, Horseshoe Pits and Volleyball Courts, 23 Sites With Electric and Water, 5 Sites With Electric Only and 8 Tent Sites, and a RV Dump Station Is Available There Is a Paved Hiking Bicycle Trail Along the Rim of the Reservoir the Trailhead Is at the Park and Is 1 1 Miles Long Special Features Are Two Observation Platforms With a Pavilion and Benches for Users to Observe the Waterfowl Situated Adjacent to the American Falls Reservoir, It Provides Primary Access to the Lake for Boaters and Fishermen With Two Boat Ramps the Park Is Also a Popular Spot for Ice Fishermen in the Winter Activities to Be Performed Include Day to Day Campground Duties, Including Cleaning of Bathrooms, Taking Reservations, Checking in Guests, Collecting and Verifying Payment, Educating Visitors on Park Rules, Maintaining Security, Mowing, Pest Control, and General Upkeep Expected Deliverables or Outcomes Funding for This Project Will Allow the Recipient to Continue Providing a Safe, Clean, Cared for Recreational Area for the Public the Work for This Project Will Occur Once the Funds Are Authorized With a Completion Date of September 30, 2027 Intended Beneficiaries Continued Oand M of Sportsman S Park Is Imperative for Public Access and Health and Safety at the American Falls Reservoir, a Federal Water Project the Benefits of Outdoor Recreation to Mental and Physical Wellbeing for the Individual and Society Are Without End the Outdoors Provides Educational Venue and Creative Inspiration Providing Safe Access to Recreation Contributes to Fulfillment of Reclamation S Obligation and Mission Subrecipient Activities If Known or Specified at Time of Award N a
