Application Purpose: the Purpose of This Application Is for the Acquisition of One Light-duty Less Than 30 Feet Ada-compliant Vehicle.; Activities Performed: the Activity to Be Performed Is the Acquisition of a Light-duty Bus With a Length of Less Than 30 Feet That Is Ada-compliant for $84975.00. the Vehicle Will Serve the Municipalitys Fixed-route and Ada Paratransit Services as a Spare Vehicle and Will Enable the Introduction of a Dial-a-ride Service; Expected Outcomes: a) Expand the Transit Service by Providing a Spare Vehicle to Support the Current Fleet of Five Buses Consisting of Three for Fixed Routes and Two for Ada Paratransit. Two New Fixed-route Buses Will Be Added in This Fiscal Year. B) Enhance Service Options by Allowing the Municipality to Introduce a Demand-responsive (dial-a-ride) Service Which Would Complement Its Existing Fixed-route and Paratransit Services.c) Improve the Transit Service by Lessening Interruptions Due to the Non-availability of Vehicles (improve Spare Ratio).; Intended Beneficiaries: the Grant Benefits the Anasco Transportation System Users With the Addition of a New Dial-a-ride Service Which Will Also Be a Spare Vehicle to Assist During High-usage Periods. It Benefits Both the Everyday Fixed-route Users and the Complementary Paratransit Services of Anascos Transportation System Which Serve All Urban and Rural Areas. Allows for the Introduction of a Demand-responsive Service That Will Benefit Workers in the Two Industrial Clusters Within the Municipality Which Provide Essential Employment Opportunities in the Area. the Service Will Be Beneficial to Workers at the Industrial Cluster Who Often Need a Ride to Work and to Residents of Rural Areas Who Require a Ride to Medical Appointments. ; Subrecipient Activities: There Will Be No Subrecipient Activities.
