Application Purpose: the Purpose of This Application Is to Request $103111.00 in Fta Section 5307 Funds Allocated in the Stip 2023-2026 for Operating Assistance to Conduct the Transportation Activities of Ada Paratransit Service and Preventive Maintenance for Five Vehicles. the Municipality Is Utilizing Funds From Stip Fiscal Years 2023-2026 Amendment #2 - Administrative Modification #2 Which Includes Funds Not Applied for From Fy 2024 and Fy 2025 Under the Following Allocations: Preventive Maintenance Operating Other 3RD Party Contractual Services and Alcohol and Drug Testing. the Total Funds Requested Are $103111.00. the Funds Will Be Used for Drivers Salaries and Fringe Benefits 50% of Administrative Salaries and Benefits Fuel Supplies Drug and Alcohol Testing Preventive Maintenance and Program Administration for Ongoing Capital Projects. the Application Includes Two Projects:project I: Ada Paratransit Operating Assistance and 0.75% Safety Requirement for $ 74321.00 Andproject Ii: Section 5307: Preventive Maintenance for Five (5) Vehicles Third-party Contracting for Drug and Alcohol Testing and Project Administration for $28790.00. for a Total of $103 111. ; Activities Performed: the Activities to Be Performed Include Drivers Salaries Fringes Fuel and Supplies Which Are Eligible Activities Under This Section 5307 Grant. the 0.75% Safety Requirement Is Also Included. Third-party Contracting Includes Project Administration and Drug and Alcohol Testing. Preventive Maintenance-eligible Activities Include Oil Changes General Check-ups Brake Replacements Tire Replacements Alignments and Others. the Municipality Has Included a Detailed Budget With This Application.; Expected Outcomes: the Expected Outcomes of This Grant Are: a) Continue to Provide Ada Transportation Services B) Maintain a Well-managed Federally Compliant Transportation Operation C) Meet Preventive Maintenance Standards D) Prevent Service Interruptions for Lack of Adequate Maintenance of Vehicles Ande) Preserve the Useful Life of the Existing and New Vehicles.; Intended Beneficiaries: the Grant Benefits the Everyday Fixed Route Users of the Anasco Transportation System Which Covers All of the Town by Providing Complementary Paratransit Safe and Timely Service to Those Rural Areas. Most Public Transportation Users Are Low- and Very Low-income Citizens With No Other Means of Commuting. the Population in Anasco for the 2023 Census Estimate Was 25215; at Least 22% or 5707 Are Elderly and 26.8% Have One Type or More of Disability. the Poverty Level Was 44.9%.
