Application Purpose: the Purpose of This Award Is to Provide Additional Funds for the Renovation and Development of the Francisco Pereira Transportation Terminal for the Municipality of Caguas in Order to Increase Our Ridership and Use the Transportation Terminal as a Regional Hub.; Activities Performed: Funds Will Be Used to Cover All Eligible Constructions Activities Related to the Renovation and Development of the Terminal.; Expected Outcomes: Funding Will Permit Municipality of Caguas Convert It Into an Attractive Commercial Venture That Will Generate Much Needed Revenue to Support the Implementation of the Transcriollo Transportation Program. These Income May Be Used for the Maintenance and Improvements of the Facility Because the Municipality Belongs to the Urbanized Area of San Juan and the Eligible Activities of Operational Assistance Special Rule Entail a 50/50 Match Which Is Very Difficult for the Municipality Be Able to Match That Amount. Therefore It Will Be Considered to Use the Income Generated to Help the Municipality Achieve Matching Funds.therefore We Wish to Indicate That With the Possibility That an Incidental Permit May Eventually Be Requested There Is a Percentage of the Structure That Will Not Be Transit Related Use Although the Uses to Be Carried Out Are Intended to Provide Alternatives for Waiting for Transportation. to the Same Passengers Who Use Our Collective Transportation.; Intended Beneficiaries: Municipality of Caguas and the Riders That Rely on Its Service Will Benefit From Continued Services Permitting Workers to Get to Work and Riders to Get to Essential Services.; Subrecipient Activities: None
