Application Purpose: This Application Utilizes Cares Act Funding to Help Respond to Recover From the COVID-19 Pandemic to Cover the Cost of Transit Operations Maintenance and Safety Related Repairs and Improvements.; Activities Performed: Budget Revision #1- Transfers Funds From Activity 1- Operations to Activity 5 -safety and Security Improvements for the Installation of a 100 KWH Emergency Electrical Generator at the Angel Cintron Terminal. and Extends the Period of Ada Paratranst Service From December 31 2020 June 0 2021. the Period of Performance Is Extended to March 30 2029. Operating EXPENSES:1. Operating Expenses to Cover the Cost of Operations Administration Salaries and Payroll Taxes Additional Municipal Legislature Authorized Risk Compensation Personal Protection Equipment for Fixed Route Transit Related Employees and Fuel to Operate Transit Vehicles During the Covid Emergency Period From February 1 2020 to June 30 2021;2. Operating Assistance to Cover Cost of Contracting Transportation Service to Complement Limited Service Provided by Municipality on Existing Routes From Oct. 1 2020 to June 30 2021;3. Preventive Maintenance for Covid 19 Disinfection of Transit Vehicles and the Valeriano Aulet and Manat Transit Terminals From February 1 2020 to June 30 2021.CAPITAL Expenses Within This Project INCLUDE:4. Teleworking Equipment for Transit System Including Computer Equipment Software and GPS Tracking SYSTEM;5. Safety and Security Improvements for the Valeriano Aulet and Municipal Transit Terminals. These Improvements Are Not Related to Hurricane Maria Damages.a Second Project Is Requested Under This Cares Award Request to Cover Ada Paratransit Operation as Follows:operating Expenses to Cover the Cost of Salaries and Payroll Taxes Additional Risk Compensation and Personal Protection Equipment for Ada Paratransit Related Employees and Fuel to Operate Paratransit Vehicles During the Covid Emergency Period From February 1 to December 31 2020; Expected Outcomes: This Grant Will Help the Municipality Cover Operating Costs of Transit and Paratransit Service During the Covid Emergency and Help Make Safety and Security Improvements to Transit Terminals.; Intended Beneficiaries: the Main Beneficiaries of This Grant Will Be Transit Users and the Transit System Employees.; Subrecipient Activities: There Are No Subrecipients.
