The Luzerne County Transportation Authority (LCTA) Is Applying for Ffy 2018 Section 5339 Buses and Bus Facilities Funds in the Amounts of $3500000 Allocated to Them From Penndot as Well as Section 5339 Buses and Bus Facilities Funds From Ffy 2020 ($324794) and Ffy 2021 ($310486) Apportioned to the Scranton Pa Urbanized Area and Ffy 2020 Section 5307 Funds ($2418326) Apportioned to the Scranton Pa Urbanized Area for a Total Amount of $6553606 in Federal Funds. the Split Letter for These Allocations Are Attached to the Grant. the Non-federal Funding for This Grant Will Be Provided by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania City of Wilkes-barre and Luzerne County.purpose of Award: to Fund the Construction of Lctas New Administrative/maintenance Facility. Activities to Be Performed: This Award Is for the Initial Construction Phase of Lctas New 208000 Square Feet Administrative/maintenance Facility (formerly Murray Complex) to Include: - New Bus Storage and Maintenance Garages- New Administrative Offices- New Bus Wash Lcta Is Working With Construction Management to Complete Activities. Construction Includes Any Structural Architectural Mechanical Electrical and Industrial Work Associated With the Facility. Expected Outcomes: Progress Made on Initial Construction Activities at the Project Site.intended Beneficiaries: Efficiencies Created by the New Facility Will Benefit Both Passengers and Employees to Ensure Continued Operation of Mass Transit in the Lcta Service Area.
