This Funding Will Provide Facilitated Outdoor Recreation Experiences in National Park Sites for Students From K-12 Schools, Colleges and Universities, and Military Servicemembers and Their Families, Including Veterans and Gold Star Families. Introductory Outdoor Recreational Activities Will Include Fishing, Camping, Hiking, Paddling, Biking, and More. Activities Will Deeply Engage These Audiences With Outdoor Recreation on Federal Lands and Will Create Lasting Connections to Local National Park Sites. These Opportunities Will Reduce Barriers Faced by These Communities by Providing Necessary Resources Such as Transportation, When Applicable, and Providing a Sense of Belonging in Outdoor Spaces.
