River Partners Will Grow Native Plants From Seed Supplied to Them by Whiskeytown National Recreation Area, Which Will Be Locally Sourced From Within the Park Unit. They Will Harvest Fruits and Remove Inert Material, Returning an Increased Supply of Seed to Be Used in Post-fire Restoration Work. They Will Also Test Seed for Viability Before Sowing and After Harvest, While Also Conducting Field Studies and Disseminating Results and Knowledge on the Agronomic Production of Native Species. Beneficiaries Include the General Public.
