Programming Supports a Comprehensive Network of Cooperative Study Units to Facilitatecooperative Research Technical Assistance Education and Training to Inform Sciencebased Management Ofthe National Park System. the Study Units Facilitate Multidisciplinary Science and Integrated Informationproducts Across Multiple Geographic Regions of the National Park System. the National Park Service NPS and the Alaska Conservation Foundation Acf Will Work Together on Projects That Conserve Natural and Cultural Resources in Collaboration With Alaska Native Tribal Entities Rural Residents Students and Other Stakeholders With Interests in Resource Stewardship. NPS Anticipates a Series of Related Project to Come About Over the Next Five Years. Public Education Efforts Aimed at Controlling the Spread of Invasive Plants Is the First of Several Project Outlined in This Agreement. Other Efforts Include Building Communitylead Resource Monitoring Programs in Communities Adjacent to NPS Units in Alaska and Supporting Engagement and Training in Resource Management and Conservation Work.. Beneficiaries Include State and Local Governments Federally Recognized Indian Tribal Governments Public Private Nonprofit Organizations Nonprofit Institutions of Higher Education and the General Public.
