Project Abstract: Archeological Management Plan Preservation Guide for Frijoles Canyon, Bandelier National Monumentmostly at a Park Level, Projects Encompass a Broad Range of Research, Operational, and Educational Activities Across All Aspects of Cultural Resource Stewardship Activities, Including But Not Limited to Inventory, Monitoring, Research, Rehabilitation, Reconstruction, Restoration, Preservation, Documentation, Data Recovery, Education, and Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation.the Archeological Management Plan and Preservation Guide (AMPG) for Frijoles Canyon Will Be a Guiding Archeological Resources Management Document for the Frontcountry Showcase Sites in Frijoles Canyon Including Alcove House, Tyuonyi Pueblo, Talus House, Big Kiva, Long House Pueblo, Tyuonyi Overlook Sites, as Well as Hundreds of Cavates Sites. the Goal of Ampg Development Is to Facilitate Better Understanding of Past Preservation Treatments to Better Guide Future Preservation Strategies, in the Context of Climate Change Impacts, Visitor Use, and Operational Realities. the Ampg Will Be a Strategic Plan to Guide Management and Stewardship of These Significant Sites for the Mid to Long Term (5-20 Years). Project Objectives Include Compiling Past Site Documentation and Condition Datasets, New Data Collection, Synthesizing All Research and Results, and Developing Recommendations to Create the Ampg.beneficiaries Include State and Local Governments, Federally Recognized Indian Tribal Governments, Nonprofit Organizations, Educational or Scientific Institutions, Associations, Individuals.
