Shenandoah Valley Battlefields National Historic District, Through the Shenandoah Valley Battlefields Foundation, Inc. (SVBF), Works With Partners to Preserve the Shenandoah Valley Civil War Battlefields, Coordinate the Interpretation of the Regional Civil War Story, and Promote the Valley as a Visitor Destination.the Federal Funds Provide Operational Support for the SVBF and Are Used to Continue Educational Outreach and Historic Preservation Activities That Both Engage and Benefit the Local Communities and Nationally Significant Resources. the Beneficiaries Include the General Public, States, Their Political Subdivisions, Non-profits, Private Entities, and the Heritage Area Management Coordinating Entity.
