Purpose of Award Summary of the Goals and Objectives of the Project This Project Is Part of the Mississippi National River and Recreation Area S Five Year Alternative Transportation Plan, Which Seeks to Create a Continuous Non Motorized Transportation System Throughout the Entire 72 Mile Park Corridor With Emphasis on Off Road Bike Trails Summary of Project Specific Activities This Project Includes the Development of a Trailhead Facility Along the Mississippi River Greenway at the Wakota Bridge I 494 Location in South ST Paul, Minnesota the Facility Would Provide Full Service Restrooms, Picnic Facilities, Interpretation, and Improved Parking Performance Goals Including Milestones and Expected Outcomes This Project Will Link Non Motorized Trails From the I 494 Wakota Bridge Trail to the Mississippi River Regional Trail and Provide Amenities at a Key Juncture for These Trails Non Motorized Recreational and Commuter Use Will Be Supported Year Round as the Trails Will Be Plowed and Maintained in All Seasons Beneficiaries the State of Minnesota or Its Political Subdivisions, Counties, Cities, Non Profits
