The Tribal Historic Preservation Office Thpo of the Pit River Tribe PRT Implements the Terms of the Grantagreement Between the PRT and the National Park Service NPS It Has a Leadership Role in the Preservationand Acquisition of PRT Lands, What Is Known as the 100 Mile Square, the Heritage and Culture of the Tribe Thethpo Maintains Records, Artifacts, Case Files, Maps, and Digital Log Regarding Heritage and Cultural Resources Coordinates With Multiple Agencies and Works Closely With the Constitutionally Established Tribal Council,cultural Representatives, and Elders of the Eleven 11 Autonomous Bands, Whom Assist to Better Define Bandboundaries With an Eye Towards More Effective Management, Assessment of Historic Properties and Undertakingsunder the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966 Nhpa , the National Environmental Policy Act Nepa ,the California Environmental Quality Act Ceqa , and Other Authorities
