Nithpo Will Properly Protect Historic Properties And/or Real Properties Acquired During the 106 Process And/orimpact Mitigation Process When Such Properties Are Returning to the Possession of the Tribe. Nithpo'sparticipation in the National Historic Preservation Program Will Protect Cultural Resources and Ceremoniallandscapes From Adverse Effects. Nithpo's Participation and Collaboration With Towns, States and Other Historicpreservation Programs Furthers the Program's Goals of Historic Preservation of Local and Tribal Histories,properties and Historic Landscapes. Nithpo Will Continue to Educate Local Municipalities on the Sovereignty Ofthe Tribe Over Its Property. Nithpo Will Properly Preserve Historic Properties and Determine Appropriate Stepsfor Restoration, Rehabilitation and Remediation With the Limited Funding Provided. the Tribe Will Benefit Frompreservation of Its Culturally Sensitive Areas and Local Municipalities Will Benefit From the Education Andpreservation of Indigenous Landscapes.
