The Goal Is to Train Young Leaders in Providing Community Technical Assistance to Outdoor Recreation and Conservation Projects Throughout the Country. the Objective Is: to Introduce a Diversity of Young Professionals to the Work of Community Assistance in Conservation and Outdoor Recreation Through a 11 to 12-MONTH Fellowship and the 12-WEEK Rigorous Internship. to Provide Opportunities for Successful Candidates to Access Permanent Federal Conservation Positions Using the Public Land Corp and Direct Hire Authorities. Summary of Project Specific Activities: Participating Fellows and Interns Will Work With Skilled Professional NPS Employees on Conservation and Outdoor Recreation Projects That May Include Developing and Restoring Parks, Conservation Areas, Rivers, and Wildlife Habitats, as Well as Creating Outdoor Recreation Opportunities and Programs That Engage Future Generations in the Outdoors.
