Purpose of Award (summary of the Goals and Objectives of the Project):in Accordance With P.L. 104-333 Section 606, the Projects Completed Under This Agreement to Implement the Shenandoah Valley Heritage District (SVHD) Management Plan. the NPS and Recipient Will Collaborate in the Promotion, Facilitation, and Improvement of People's Understanding of the Important Natural, Cultural and Recreational Resources of Shenandoah Valley Heritage District. Additionally, Project Programs Will Engage Partners, Communities, and Visitors in Shared Environmental Stewardship.summary of Project Specific Activities:educational Programs, Interpretive Programs, and Heritage Tourism Programs All With an Emphasis on the History of the Civil War and Battlefield Sites in the Svhd.performance Goals Including Milestones and Expected Outcomes:projects Include:walking Tours - Oct 1, 2021-FEBRUARY 18, 2022INTERPRETIVE Programs - Oct 1, 2021-FEBRUARY 18, 2022AS Well as Development of Battlefield Signage for Audio Tours and Various Battlefield Interpretive Markers; Development a Unigrid Type Visitor Guide; Publishing Seasonal Magazine and Newsletters; Maintain Social Media Presence; Provide Support With Coordination of Civil War Trails; Installation of Exhibits at Mcdowell Area Civil War Orientation; and Meetings With Partners for On-going Collaboration of Projects. This Work Will Take Place Throughout the Year as Allowed for Per Continuing Resolution Funding Guidance.beneficiaries: the Beneficiaries of the Projects Undertaken Under This Agreement Include the Public and the Communities Associated With the Shenandoah Valley Historic District as Well as Partner Organizations.
