Application Purpose: Metro Will Sub-allocate These Funds to the City of Portland Bureau of Transportation (PBOT) to Conduct Transportation Demand Management (TDM) Programming in Concert With Eight Capital Street Improvement Projects. Funding for These TDM Activities Was Identified in Each of the Capital Funding Requests Awarded Through Metros Regional Flexible Funds Allocation Process. Funding in This Key Number Originated From Keys 20812 20813 20814 22134 22135 and 22138. Upon Fta Award of These Funds Metro Will Enter Into an Iga With Pbot Which Defines the Specific Tasks to Be Performed With These Funds.; Activities Performed: Pbot Will Conduct Outreach Education and Engagement Efforts to Encourage Residents in Proximity to Use New Bicycle and Pedestrian Infrastructure. ; Expected Outcomes: Increased Use of Active Transportation Modes Increased Return on Public Investment.; Intended Beneficiaries: the Primary Beneficiaries Will Be Those Who Live in the Vicinity of the Projects and Will Have Direct Access to Improved Streets Sidewalks and Bicycle Facilities. as These Projects Are All Identified in the Regions Transit Bicycle and Pedestrian Networks They Will Fill or Improve Identified Gaps in These Systems Leading to a Better System for All of the Regions Residents.; Subrecipient Activities: City of Portland - Pbot Will Engage With the Communities Surrounding These Capital Projects Throughout and After the Construction Phases. Engagement Efforts Will Focus on Increasing Local Awareness of the Improvements and Encouragement Activities to Increase Peoples Use of Them.
