Application Purpose: the Purpose of This Award Is to Provide One Year of Preventative Maintenance One Year of Operating Assistance and One Year of Ada Support for Allen County Regional Transit Authority to Assist It in Fixed Route and Ada Transit Operations During the Period of 09/01/2024 to 08/31/2025; to Purchase Between Three (3) and Five (5) 30 Replacement Vehicles to Make Repairs to the Passenger Transfer Canopy to Install Building Generators and to Finish the Garage Renovation Project.; Activities Performed: Funds Will Be Used to Cover All Eligible Operating Expenses Such as Driver Salaries and Fuel Cover All Eligible Ada Expenses Cover All Eligible Preventative Maintenance Expenses Such as Mechanic Salaries and Revenue Vehicle Parts to Purchase Replacement Vehicles for Our Fleet; to Tear Out and Replace Damaged Concrete Around the Passenger Transfer Island and Reinforce the Columns for the Island Canopy; to Install a Generator at the Administration Building Transfer Station and Maintenance Facility; and to Finish Out the Ongoing Maintenance Facility Expansion and Renovation.; Expected Outcomes: Funding Will Allow Acrta to Continue to Provide Fixed Route Transit Service to the Lima/allen County Area Continue to Provide Ada Paratransit Service Keep the Acrta Fleet in a State of Good Repair Replace Vehicles That Are Past Their Useful Life to Provide Safer More Reliable Vehicles for the Citizens of Lima/allen County to Make Necessary Repairs to the Concrete and Passenger Canopy to Allow a Safer Site for Buses to Pull in and Passengers to Wait and Board the Buses to Keep Operations Running Smoothly in the Event of a Power Outage With the Addition of a Generator at Each Building Site and Finish the Expansion and Renovation Project That Will Have Acrta With a Practically Brand New Maintenance Facility.; Intended Beneficiaries: Acrta and the General Public in Lima/allen County Will Benefit by Continuing to Access Safe Reliable Transportation Services Where in Many Cases They Have No Other Options; Subrecipient Activities: None.
