Application Purpose: the Purpose of This Award Is to Provide Funding for Operating Fixed Route and Demand Response Service in the Mansfield Urban Area and for Capital Projects.; Activities Performed: Section 5307 Funds Are Being Added to Cover Eligible Operating Expenses for Fixed Route Service Ada Paratransit Capitalized Preventative Maintenance Operator Planning Short-range Planning and Other Planning. Section 5307 Funds Will Be Used for Capital Projects Including New Fare Payment Technology and Revenue Vehicle Replacement. Section 5339 Funding Will Be Utilized to Replace One Cutaway (LTV) Revenue Vehicle. Fhwa STBG Flex Funds Will Be Utilized for a Roof Repair Project at the RCT Admin Office and Replacement of Two More Cutaway Vehicles.; Expected Outcomes: Funding Will Support Rctbs Safe and Efficient Ongoing Operations and Promote Rctbs Transit Asset Management Goals for Facility Maintenance and Revenue Vehicle Replacement With the Ultimate Goal of Maintaining a State of Good Repair. the Fare Payment Technology Will Also Improve the Customer Experience.; Intended Beneficiaries: Richland County Transit (RCT) and the Riders Who Depend on Our Service Will Benefit From Having Continued Operations as Well as Facilities That Are Safe Comfortable and Efficient.; Subrecipient Activities: RCTB Has a Subrecipient Shelby Taxi That Offers Demand Response Services Within the City of Shelby. This Project Includes a Small Budget (up to $42000) for Shelby Taxis Eligible Operating and Maintenance Expenses.
