Application Purpose: This Award Is for Preventive Maintenance to Maintain BC Transits Vehicles and Fta Funded Facilities Replace Bus Stop Signage Purchase Replacement Cutaway Buses and Purchase a Generator to Alleviate Grid Dependency.; Activities Performed: Preventive Maintenance on Vehicles and Facilities Operating Assistance for Day to Day Operations Replace Aging Bus Stop Signage Purchase Buses and a Generator.; Expected Outcomes: Preventive Maintenance Will Keep Vehicles and Facilities in a State of Good Repair Per Fta Guidelines. Existing Bus Stop Signage Will Be Replaced With Larger Easier to Find Signs. Buses Will Be Purchased to Replace Buses That Are Past Their Useful Life and a Natural Gas Generator Will Be Purchased to Reduce Grid Dependency in Emergency Situations.; Intended Beneficiaries: the Ridership of Broome County Transit Will Benefit From New Buses Preventive Maintenance and Operating Assistance by Having a Fleet and Transit Staff That Is Reliable and Available. the Bus Stop Sign Replacement Will Assist Riders With Larger Easier to Find Stop Signage. the Generator Will Allow Service to Transit Riders Even During Loss of Power From Unforeseen Weather Events/natural Disasters.; Subrecipient Activities: None
