Comprehensive High-impact Hiv Prevention Programs for Community-based Organizations - Matrix Human Services Will Implement the Matrix High Impact Prevention Program (m-hipp), Serving Young Black Men Who Have Sex With Men (YMSM) Living in Detroit and Wayne County, Mi. M-hipp Is Designed to Reduce New Infections, Increase Access to Care and Promote Health Equity Among Ybmsm Ages 13-29. This Will Be Achieved by Using Social Network Strategy for Hiv Testing, Linking to Care and Antiretroviral Therapy Within 30 Days Using the Ryan White Part a Early Intervention Services Model, Personalized Cognitive Counseling to Help Reduce Condomless Anal Sex, the Peer Support Model to Address Gaps in Adherence and Support the Use of Prep, and Referring Ybmsm Living With or at Risk for Acquisition of Hiv to Prevention and Essential Services Including Npep. as the History of Hiv Prevention Shows That Effective Prevention Strategies Must Consider How Men Who Have Sex With Men Construct Their Social and Sexual Lives, Services Will Be Tailored to Specific Subpopulations of Ybmsm. M-hipp Will Do This Through an Iterative Community Identification Process Which Will Be Combined With Continuous Data Analysis, Program Refinement and Quality Improvement to Ensure Outcomes Are Met.ybmsm Continue to Have the Greatest Burden of New Diagnosis in Detroit and Wayne County. the Estimated Rate of New Diagnoses in Metro Detroit for Ybmsm Is 1,650 Cases Per 100,000 Residents, With the Ybmsm New Diagnosis Rate Being 32 Times Higher Than Other Black Men and 165 Times Higher Than the General Population. Additionally, Blacks Fall Behind at Each Stage of the Care Continuum. Only 68% of Blacks in Metro Detroit Are Virally Suppressed; This Is Even Lower for Ybmsm in Detroit (57% Virally SUPPRESSED).2 Data From the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services as Well as the Experience of Matrix in Providing Prevention Services for 32 Years Highlight a Number of Factors Driving These Continued Infections: High Rates of STDS, Frequent Receptive Anal Intercourse, Hiv Stigma and Homophobia, and Unacceptably Low Rates of Viral Suppression.founded in 1906, Matrix Human Services Is a Private, Non-profit, 501(C) 3, Social Service Organization Accredited by the Council on Accreditation. Current Services Include Hiv Rapid Testing, STD Screening, Artas, Early Intervention Services, Case Management, Non-medical Case Management, Mental Health, Home Health Care, and Primary Care. This Request Will Help End the Hiv Epidemic by Increasing Hiv Diagnosis in Non-traditional Settings and Providing Adherence Support for Prep and Antiretroviral Therapy (art).partnerships Contributing to the Success of M-hipp Include, But Are Not Limited to, Test Site Hosts, the Detroit STD Clinic That Provides Prep Assessment and Insurance Navigation Services, and Contracted Ryan White Medical Care Providers Who Facilitate Timely Access to Lifesaving Art.
