Latinx Prevention Program - Project Abstract Summarythe Damien Center, a 501(C)3 Community-based Organization Located in Indianapolis, in, Proposes to Provide the Latinx Prevention Program to Latinx MSM (men Who Have Sex With Men) in Marion County, Indiana, a County That Has Been Identified as One of 48 Counties Nationwide That Has Been Hardest Hit by the Hiv Epidemic by the CDC. Damien Center?s Latinx Prevention Program Will Reduce New Hiv Infections in the County, Increase Access to Care, and Promote Health Equity for Latinx MSM, a Population That Is Both Underserved and Heavily Impacted by Hiv as Well as Disparities in Care. This Will Be Achieved by Increasing Damien Center?s Capacity for Hiv Testing and Referrals to Partner Services for the Target Population; Linking Additional Latinx Persons to Medical Care, Art, SSPS, Prep, and Supportive Services; and Increasing Program Monitoring and Accountability.damien Center Will Achieve the Following Short-term Outcomes During the Grant Period Under Each of the Four Ending the Epidemic Initiative Program Pillars: Diagnose?increased Persons Who Are Aware of Their Hiv Status?increased Receipt of Integrated Screeningstreat?increased Receipt of Hiv Medical Care and Art Among Persons With Newly Diagnosed Hiv?increase Receipt of Hiv Medical Care and Art Among Persons With Previously Diagnosed Hiv, Not in Care?increased Access to Partner Services Prevent ?increased Access to Prep?increased Availability of Condomsrespond?increased Health Department and Community Engagement for Cluster Detection and Respondeach of These Short Term Outcomes Will Contribute to the Overall Long-term Outcomes of the Project, Including: Reduced New Hiv Infections; Improved Health Outcomes for Persons With Diagnosed Hiv; Reduced Hiv-related Health Disparities; and Reduced Death Among Persons With Diagnosed Hiv.
