Application Purpose: Jicarilla Apache Nation Seeks Fta Funding for a Capital Project to Upgrade Three Bus Stops in Jicarilla Apache Nation to Ada Standards. the Project Entails Designing Constructing and Installing Concrete Boarding/alighting Pads Shelters and Other Infrastructure (such as Sidewalk Ramps Landing Pads Etc.) and Amenities (such as Trash Cans Lighting Etc.) as Necessary at Each Stop. the Bus Stops Are Served and Maintained by North Central Regional Transit District a Public Transit Provider in Jicarilla Apache Nation and North Central New Mexico. the New Bus Stops Will Replace Inadequate Infrastructure at Three Existing Bus Stops on the Ncrtd Bus Route Serving Jicarilla Apache Nation: Wild Horse Casino Hawk Express and Bloomfield Public Library. There Is Definite Need for the Project and for Funding to Complete It. the Project Will Advance Accessibility Safety Data-driven Prioritization of Capital Projects Environmental and Cultural Preservation the State of Good Repair of Ncrtd Assets Public Knowledge of Public Transit and Passenger Comfort. the Improvements Will Benefit Existing Ridership Among the Native American Community as Well as Visitors to the Area. the Project Is Expected to Increase Ridership by at Least 20% at Each Stop and 10% on the Route. the Project Is Supported by Jicarilla Apache Nation Ncrtd the Public Demographic and Survey Data and Ncrtds Ada Transition Plan. If Tribal Transit Program (TTP) Funding Is Awarded Ncrtd Will Complete the Project on Behalf of Jicarilla Apache Nation and Continue to Provide Transit Service to the Stops and Jicarilla Apache Nation Will Sub-allocate the Funding to Ncrtd. Ncrtd Has the Proven Technical Legal and Financial Capacity to Complete the Project in a Cost-efficient Time-efficient High-quality Manner. Ncrtd Has Successfully Built Over 30 100% Ada-compliant Bus Stops Over 10 Pull-outs and a Parking Lot.; Activities Performed: the Project Funding Requested Includes the Cost of Design Engineering Materials Construction and Installation of New Bus Shelters.; Expected Outcomes: the Project Will Increase Access to Public Transit Improve the Public Transit Experience and Raise Awareness About Public Transit Services. This Will Replace Pole and Sign Bus Stops With Ada-compliant Bus Stops Complete With Shelters Benches Concrete Landing Pads Trash Cans and Other Amenities.; Intended Beneficiaries: This Will Primarily Support Members of the Jicarilla Apache Nation in Providing Transportation to Work Stores Medical Appointments Etc.; Subrecipient Activities: None
