Tarrant County Public Health Infrastructure, Workforce, and Data Modernization - A1 Workforce the Purpose of This Project Is to “hire, Retain and Develop a Highly Skilled, Trained Public Health Workforce Able to Prevent the Spread of Communicable Disease; Advance Food, Air, and Water Quality, Support Maternal and Child Health; Increase Access to Clinical Care Services; and Prevent Chronic Disease and Injury. Assure the Department Has Planning, Systems, Processes, Policies and Infrastructure to Provide the Foundational Public Health Services. Work Under Strategy A1 Workforce Is to Accomplish the Following Six Specific Aims: 1. Enhance Tcph’s Workforce and Organizational Development 2. Enhance Tcph’s Ability to Conduct Program Evaluation, Quality Improvement and Performance Management 3. Ensure Adequate Data Modernization Workforce and Supporting Staff to Meet Departments Informatics and Data Science Needs 4. Strengthen the Departments Environmental Health Workforce 5. Strengthen the Departments Communicable Disease / Sexually Transmitted Infection Workforce 6. Strengthen the Departments Fiscal/administrative Operations Workforce A2 Foundational Capabilities the Purpose of This Project Is “to Enhance the Foundational Capabilities in the Cross Cutting Areas of Accreditation, Performance Management, Quality Improvement, External and Internal Communications, as Well as Data Governance to Support a Strong Core Public Health Infrastructure.” Work Under Strategy A2 Is to Accomplish the Following Three Specific Aims: 1. to Improve Department Systems and Processes; 2. to Improve, Develop, and Implement Strong Communications Capability and Products; and 3. to Enhance Data Governance. A3 Data Modernization the Purpose of This Project Is to “development of Robust, Modern Interoperable, and Secure Public Health Data Systems That Delivers Real Time, Accurate, and Actionable Data. Development of Staff Capabilities Along With Standardized Policies, Procedures and Methods to Implement World-class Data Analytical Capabilities to Support the Essential Public Health Services.” Work Under Strategy A3 Is to Accomplish the Following Three Specific Aims: 1. Create a More Modern and Efficient Data Infrastructure 2. Increased Data Interoperability 3. Increased Availability and Use of Public Health Data
